Revisiting the Revco Drug Store from Childhood

I vividly remember my first visit to Revco Drug Store. It was the late 80s, and I was in elementary school. My mom and I were on our way to the grocery store when we passed by the drug store, and I suddenly had an urge to go in. We went inside and I browsed the aisles, trying to figure out what I wanted.

Revco Drug Store in the ’80s

Revisiting the Revco Drug Store from childhood is a nostalgic experience for many people.

The Revco Drug Store was a part of my childhood and adolescence. It was the place where I bought my first cigarettes, my first pack of bubblegum, and my first pack of condoms.

Revco Drug Store was also the place where I got my first kiss. It was during a field trip to the store that I met the girl who would become my girlfriend.

Revco Drug Store closed in 2001, but its memories live on in the hearts of many people. Its closure may be lamented by some, but it is fondly remembered by others. In any event, it is a store that is worth revisiting from time to time.

The Revco Drug Store Today

The Revco Drug Store that I fondly remember from my childhood is now a bustling supermarket chain. When I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, Revco was a major player in Rochester, New York. It was one of the few places where you could buy all of your groceries, including cigarettes, in one place.

Today, Revco operates over 200 stores across the United States. It is a major player in the grocery industry and its products can be found at many convenience stores as well as supermarkets. In addition to groceries, Revco also sells items such as beauty products, household supplies, and entertainment items.

The Revco Drug Store that I used to visit is no longer in operation. However, the supermarket chain continues to operate and provide residents of Rochester with quality groceries and merchandise at affordable prices.

How Revco has Changed Over Time

When I was a child, Revco was a go-to store for my family. We would often go there to buy groceries and pick up prescriptions. Although the store has changed over the years, it remains an iconic part of my childhood. In this blog post, I will explore some of the ways that Revco has grown and changed over time.

The first thing that has changed at Revco is its layout. When I was a child, the store had a single aisle running down its entire length. The shelves were tightly packed with products, and it was difficult to find what you were looking for. Today, Revco has expanded into multiple floors and sections, making it easier for customers to find what they need.

Another change that Revco has made is its product selection. When I was a child, the store carried only generic drugs. Today, Revco offers a variety of brands and types of drugs, including prescription medications and over-the-counter products. This increased selection allows customers to find the drug that is best suited for their needs.

Finally, Revco has changed its customer service approach. When I was a child, staff

Conclusion

It was recently announced that revco drug store which operated in the Bronx from 1956-1984, will be renovated and re-opened as a community space. For many of us who grew up in the borough during that time, Revco was our go-to spot for getting our hands on everything from Tang to Slinky. In light of its impending reopening, I thought it would be interesting to take a look back at what Revco offered its customers and see how much has changed (and stayed the same) over the years.
